Modern Warfare 3 armory unlocks explained — how to unlock weapons

In this ONE Esports guide, we explain the function of this attachment, along with how to easily unlock and use it in the game.

What is JAK Purifier and how to unlock it in MW3 and Warzone

This is a compact flamethrower, underbarrel weapon attachment that fires a stream of flame at your targets, burning them to a crisp at a considerably fast rate.

While it certainly is fun running around spraying jets of flame, it comes with the draw back of a very limited effective range. This means users of the weapon need to get up close and personal with their target for it to be effective.

To unlock this aftermarket part, players have to navigate to the Challenges menu, select Armory Unlocks, and choose the Aftermarket Parts tab.

You need to scroll down and activate the JAK Purifier. From there, it’s just a matter of completing five daily challenges.

In the event where you’ve already completed all daily challenges, simply winning games counts towards completing it.

The JAK Purifier can only be attached as an underbarrel to a specific range of weapons, including assault rifles, battle rifles, and shotguns.

To unleash the flames, equip it to your preferred weapon, and press the designated Fire Mode button — usually on the D-pad for consoles and “B” for PC — to switch to the flamethrower.

Remember, this aftermarket part excels at close range. Aiming for the feet ensures maximum damage, as flames tend to rise.
