It grants you a deployable flare that marks a specific location on the map.

Upon death, you will respawn at the designated point marked by the flare, bypassing the standard respawn timer and location.

You can only have one flare active at a time. Deploying a new flare destroys the previous one.

How to use Tactical Insertion effectively

Securing objectives is crucial in many Modern Warfare 3 game modes, including Domination and Hardpoint. Planting your insertion flare near a contested flag or hardpoint allows you to maintain consistent pressure.

Even if you get eliminated, you’ll be back in the fight quickly, allowing you to keep your momentum.

In large game modes like Ground War or Invasion, use Tactical Insertion to bypass choke points and flank opponents.

Before deploying the flare, plan your insertion point. Consider cover, escape routes, and proximity to enemy positions.

Enemies can destroy your insertion flare, so deploy it strategically. Avoid open areas or predictable spots. If playing with a team, coordinate insertions for a multi-pronged attack.

If you encounter frequent enemy Tactical Insertion use, equip Engineer Vest to detect flares, as well as other field upgrades and killstreaks through walls.

Additionally, carrying grenades allows you to destroy enemy insertion points, disrupting their strategies.
