Assault rifles

  • BP50: The previously dominant BP50 received a mobility nerf, making it slower across the board. This includes movement, sprint, and tactical sprint speeds.
  • JAK Revenger Kit: This conversion kit for the BP50 also took a hit to its movement speed, and suffers a significant damage reduction across all ranges.
  • MCW: The MCW had its head damage multiplier increased.

SMGs

  • FJX Horus: This SMG got a massive buff, getting reduced recoil, extended damage range, and a lower torso damage multiplier increase.

Apart from the FJX Horus, several SMGs saw improvements in maximum and near-medium damage range, including the RAM-9, AMR9, Rival-9, HRM-9, Striker 9, Striker, and WSP-9.

Activision also tweaked the No Stock Mod for an even better ADS movement speed boost, while the Lopper LX-D Stock introduced a small movement speed penalty.

Other weapon changes

  • JAK Headhunter Carbine: This conversion kit underwent a major transformation, with a significant increase in fire rate, damage, and minimum damage, at the cost of reduced neck and upper torso damage multipliers.
  • MCW 6.8: Resolved a recoil issue with the MCW 6.8 and its full-auto conversion kit.
  • RGL-80 Launcher: This launcher got a faster aim down sight (ADS) time, but its explosive damage was reduced in Hardcore modes.

While it’s difficult to predict the meta, these changes are likely to shift the assault rifle meta away from the BP50 and JAK Revenger Kit.

Players may gravitate towards other ARs, like the MCW and BAL-27, or adapt their playstyles with these weapons.

By contrast, the buffed SMGs could see a rise in popularity, potentially creating a faster-paced gameplay experience.
