Choosing the right M44 loadout can help address those. That’s why we’re giving you the best M44 loadout in XDefiant.

Although the M44 isn’t quite as effective as the TAC-50, it offers the same level of mobility as any other lightweight rifle, making it a great choice for novice sniper players.

XDefiant has two extremely powerful sniper rifles, with TAC-50 being a more popular pick. However, M44 is equally deadly with the right attachments.

Like rival FPS games, XDefiant has a sizable arsenal of weapons, allowing players to find a gun that best suits their playstyle. While all weapons are viable, snipers are in a league of their own.

However, the idea of picking up a scoped weapon can be intimidating for automatic riflers. For this reason, we recommend starting with M44 before you move to TAC-50.

M44 is a fast bolt-action rifle that inflicts 70 damage to the body and can kill with a single headshot at any distance. However, it does have its weaknesses, which can be overcome by selecting the optimal M44 loadout.

  • Muzzle: Barrel Extender
  • Barrel: Heavy Barrel
  • Optic: Variable Zoom
  • Rear Grip: Quick Draw
  • Stock: Lightweight Stock

M44 allows mobility with a heavy-scoped weapon, but you’re at a greater risk of dying if you miss the first headshot.

By using the Barrel Extender as a Muzzle attachment, you gain a damage rate of 10% in short and medium ranges, making it as deadly as any other sniper. Pair this with a Heavy Barrel attachment, and you get an instant boost to your overall firepower.

For Optic attachment, you may go for the default sniper scope, but for increased viability, Variable Zoom is the best pick. Instead of a single zoom option, you get two different zoom types (4x and 8x), allowing you to pick off enemies in both close and long ranges.

All of this is enhanced by Quick Draw and Lightweight Stock, two attachments that help with aim stability and sprinting.

It comes unlocked by default and provides superior speed, although its damage output is slightly compromised. However, this can easily be compensated for by selecting the right attachments and pairing them with a powerful sidearm such as the 93R.
