Known as one of the most common fishing baits in The Elder Scrolls Online, both amateur and veteran fisherman need to know where to find worms if they want to have any luck while fishing.
Considered miscellaneous items, worms are vital for completing fishing-related quests and increasing your Provisioning skills.
If you’re ever in need of some fish, they love these wriggly creatures, so you better know where to scrounge for them.
Unlike catching real-life worms, you won’t be needing a shovel in the game. In fact, farming them won’t be that difficult as long as you know where to find worms in ESO.
Where to find worms in ESO
Worms can be farmed in three ways:
- Defeating zombie NPCs — Any mobs of the undead have a good chance of dropping worms.
- Plant resource nodes — Search for areas with a high concentration of plant nodes. Consider checking them out as you can also find some worms there.
- Purchasing them at the guild store (if available) — By-far the easiest way of getting worms, you can look at your guild store and see if someone is selling them.
Best locations to farm worms
Now that you know the methods of acquiring worms in ESO, here is a definitive list of locations where you can actively farm and get lots of them in no time:
- Eastmarch, Craglorn, The Rift, and Wrothgar: From the draugrs in the dungeons found in these regions.
- Alik’r Desert, Stormhaven, Carglorn, Glenumbra, and Shadowfen: From the zombies found throughout these regions.
- Alcaire Wayshrine (Stormhaven), Carved Hills (Betnikh), Fort Zeren (Bal Foyen), The Hollow City (ColdHarbour), and Phaer (Auridon): From the plant nodes that you can find around these areas.
Take note that while all undead can drop worms, draugrs and zombies are the most numerous of the bunch, so you will get better odds of obtaining worms if you will hunt them.
