Firefly has finally arrived in Honkai Star Rail, and is currently one of the best DPS characters in the game.

Her unique hybrid kit allows her to deal crippling damage, heal, and inflict Fire weakness on enemies, all of which make her a must-have five-star Destruction unit.

However, without great team synergy, Firefly won’t be able to unleash her full potential on the battlefield. As such, in this ONE Esports guide, we share and explain the best Firefly team compositions in HSR.

Here’s the best Firefly team composition in Honkai Star Rail

The best premium and free Firefly teams consist of units that boost Firefly’s Break Effect, Attack, and Speed.

With that in mind, here are the units for the best premium Firefly team:

A huge chunk of Firefly’s damage scales off her Break Effect. Moreover, one of her bonus Trace abilities allows her to deal Superbreak damage on Weakness Broken enemies.

The Trailblazer Harmony not only boost Firefly’s Break Effect but also allow her to inflict additional Superbreak damage, courtesy of their Ultimate.

This lethal combo of Break Effect buff and double Superbreak damage makes Trailblazer Harmony a must-have unit in Firefly’s team. Fortunately, you can get them for free, so the Trailblazer-Firefly synergy isn’t hard to pull off.

Ruan Mei is just as essential for this team as she can increase Firefly’s Break Effect, Break Effect Efficiency, and Damage. Most importantly, her ultimate can apply a debuff on enemies called Thanatoplum Rebloom, which extends the enemy’s Weakness break state, thus delaying their actions.

Firefly’s ultimate allows her to deal 10% more damage to Weakness Broken enemies. Thanks to Ruan Mei’s Thanatoplum Rebloom debuff, she can continue to deal bonus damage for a few more turns.

Lastly, Ruan Mei provides a general damage boost to all allies, which can greatly benefit all three units.

Gallagher is the best offensive sustain unit for Firefly. His ultimate can apply a debuff on enemies, allowing them to take additional Break damage from allies, and each unit in this team, especially Firefly, benefits greatly from it.

Additionally, Gallagher can reduce the enemy’s attack and heal Firefly, both of which are equally important as Firefly’s skill involves sacrificing her own health, which can often put her in a vulnerable situation. With Gallagher on the team, this shouldn’t be an issue anymore.

Likewise, Gallagher can benefit from having Firefly in the team, as she can inflict Fire weakness on enemies, which should allow Gallagher to reduce the enemy’s Toughness and eventually deal Break damage.

Even if you don’t have Ruan Mei, you can still put together a solid Firefly team with the following units:

  • Trailblazer Harmony (Buffer)
  • Asta/Pela (Buffer)
  • Gallagher (Buffer/Healer)
  • Firefly (DPS)

The role of Trailblazer Harmony and Gallagher in the Firefly team remains the same.

Asta can increase Firefly’s attack and boost her Fire damage (alongside Gallagher’s since they both use Fire element.) Furthermore, she can increase her Speed, an attribute which Firefly significantly benefits from especially after using ultimate.

You can also use Guinaifen instead of Asta, as she can inflict a Fire debuff that can boost Firefly’s Fire damage.

Like Asta and Gallagher, Guinaifen can also benefit from Firefly’s ability to inflict Fire weakness on enemies, which should let her weaken enemy’s Toughness and send them into the Weakness Broken state more frequently.

Pela is also a great option, especially if there are multiple enemies weak to Ice damage, as she can use her ultimate to apply the Exposed debuff that can remarkably reduce the enemy’s defense.

This could benefit Firefly when she’s in the Complete Combustion state, as she can deal more Toughness-reducing damage to enemies that are not vulnerable to Fire damage.
