The global Valorant community is feeling a bit left out recently. Why? Because an exclusive knife is going to be released soon — but only in China.

While details remain scarce, here is everything we’ve gathered on the highly sought-after in-game item.

Riot Games initially launched Valorant in 2020. After sorting out licensing and permit issues, it is finally ready to launch in China on July 12.

As a special tribute to the game’s launch, the Kitana knife was introduced as an exclusive in-game item for Chinese players.

The Kitana knife or the Ignite fan has two color variants: red-gold and violet. There is nothing special about the default version of the melee.

Once upgraded to level two however, the knife turns into an oriental fan when inspected. The red-gold and violet versions feature special flame animations, along with new sound effects added to the knife.

The exclusive knife also comes with unique player cards and sprays.

Valorant superstar Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker even tweeted in Chinese saying, “为了这把刀我愿意做任何事,” which translates to, “I would do anything for this knife.”

There have been no other skins linked to the Kitana knife. There is also no official price for the exclusive melee, but according to Portuguese dataminer Kingdom Laboratories, the knife will cost 100 VP.
